it can be anywhere on the low side {it's a large hose} from the compressor to the firewall. the condenser is on the high pressure side. the filter dryer (I think they also call it something else, but I can't remember right now...) is a aluminum bottle-like container that the large hose goes into and out of, and it's usually attached either on or near that bottleish thing. on most cars it is a 2-wire switch. you CAN unscrew the switch and replace it without draining the system.

The condenser is in front of the radiator.The low pressure switch is uder the hood,its the bigger aluminium hose,generally it is a two wired switch close to the accumulator,(the bottle looking thing)This is a good job for a proffesional.
