Star Jones announced on the View Tuesday Morning that she would not be back for the 10th season of the View... it later came out that they did not renew her contract for next year..... I feel so terrible for her because she was one of the original ladies on the show. They still have Elisabeth on & she was not even an original member. Star did go through some life changing moments in her life, a weight loss of over 100 lbs, a huge celebrity wedding. Rosie O'Donell went public saying she thinks Star should tell people how she lost all of her weight, but in my opinion- Star is a grown woman, noone has the right to get angry simply because Star does not wish to reveal exactly how she lost her weight, & for Rosie to make fun of that & blast Star in the media is very tacky & unproffessional. For the View to ask her to co host is a direct hit at Star and I now understand why Star feals hurt & she feels she was fired. I will no longer watch the view at all.

Ayman's Queen- if you were almost 400 lbs and lost weight and now most of your health issues are gone and you find someone and fall in love, dont you think you would probably go a bit over board. I wadmit she did go wayyyyyy out of control on this wedding, but this was a once FAT Lady & she got a second chance at a much better life. It's an adjustment. I think there are just alot of haters out there & the focus is on more negative things than being happy for her and letting her live her life as she chooses.

Since when did you have to announce your health issues on nation wide television? I think that Star's health was a private matter and she did the right thing. There are plenty of movie stars getting botox and plastic surgery and they don't go on Access Hollywood telling everybody. They don't go on Regis and Kelly, the View, etc. and announce what has happened to them medically. It was her RIGHT and she was to suppose to do it that way. As far as Rosie, she needs to remain Mr. Mom.

Star is a very successful lawyer and is very well known in the public eye. She will have no problem getting a new job she just has to sweek her image a little and get away from that "I'm the sh** and I'm untouchable" kind of thing she has going on. As the world saw, she is touchable. I just hope all this negativity doesn't affect her permanently. You always have confidence in life, but never let your ego get in the way of what you're trying to accomplish. Star added a flare to the View that it needed, and in replacing Star they're going to have to search for someone with flava. Right now the View has a lot of bland vanilla ice cream with no ZING. Star brought a little drama with her also, and people were watching to see what would happen next. That's going to be hard with the ladies that are on the show now. There's no need for Barbara to think that she going to keep the same audience with the ladies she has now. It's like having a bag of jelly beans and there all the same favor. Good Luck, Star...but I'm sure you'll be fine.

I really can't stand the View and I really can't believe it has lasted this long. Four women sitting around a table all gossiping at the same time, I don't see what is so appealing about that. I just never liked the show and I can't believe someone of Barbara Walter's reputation would even be associated with it. Also Rosie O'Donnell is one of the most annoying people I've ever seen so I guess it is fitting that she will be on the most annoying show ever made. If Star Jones (whatever her name is) has been made a target to blame for how bad this show is (which I think is bad with and without her) that is unfortunate for her and hopefully she will find something better to do with her life.

They HAD to let Star go. The reason Star lost all the weight is because the producers of the View stopped having snacks backstage before and after the show. This would drive Star into uncontrollable rages where chairs would be seen flying across the set and holes would be punched and kicked in the sheetrock. She even caused Barbara Walters to chip one of her teeth. A decision had to be made....Star was becoming a liabilty, a loose cannon they could no longer control.

The longer she was on the show the more obnoxious she got. Some days it was so bad I emailed the show to tell them why I turned it off. I hope I had a tiny bit to do with her being let go. I'm glad she lost weight because it was unhealthy, but now with all that make-up and fake her she looks scary. Natural or at least natural looking is so much better, I hope she'll give it a try. I'm glad she's gone.

The view is for an older audience. I don't watch much of it. If she was not what they felt was working for the show, they had to let her go. I don't particularly think Rosie is either. Star does tend to make a big deal of her life like it's more important than the other's though. She'll find something else. Don't worry about her.

i don't think of her being fired had something to do with Rosie. I watch this teach about 3X's a week and he or she's been getting extra obnoxious each day. She thinks she's proper about each and every thing, she issues she's an expert now on marriage after in person-friendly words a million 12 months, she thinks she's an expert on what women persons want, what black human beings are like, what's okay to observe on the films, what you should and could no longer eat now that she had the bypass surgical operation.....you call it she's an expert on the concern. i have under no circumstances finished this earlier yet I wrote to the teach to whinge about her two times. i'm happy she's finally lengthy gone and that i'm hoping I had a tiny bit to do with it.

I want Elizabeth H. to go next. She is an annoying republikkan with not one original thought in her bird brain. I hear Star got the boot because Oprah wanted her girlfriend Gail to take her seat, but there was no way that Star was going to sit on stage with Rosie. The only half way decent person on that show is Joy. Meredith Viera was ok but now that she is gone they don't have anyone to moderate the show, and it will be wild.

I know! I was surprised when I heard that too. Star can be pretty dramatic. I heard that the View did a bunch a research and it kept coming back all negative and so they kicked her to the curb. I happen to really like Elizabeth. Not a huge fan of Star Jones.
PS..Alot of people think that her wedding was a big sham...and I happen to agree about the gastric bypass thing. If you did it...be straight up about it.

I had the unpleasant experience of seeing Star Jones coming out to the Ivy in LA in 2005. It was so strange, she had her hanger-ons and she did the kiss kiss then the wave to the crowd. People weren't really admiring her they we're just watching her show off. That's LA. What a farse. She got to big for her britches, shes no Oprah. Besides TV journalist shouldn't become celebrities. They are a bunch of hams.

Star Jones did this to herself. This all started when she decided to get married and used the show as a 24/7 advirtisment for free things. This made abc sweat, especially since she promised the sponsers for her wedding advirtisment for free things. ABC saw her is a liability for lawsuits. Star Jones is very self fish for doing that expecially since she has a lot of money.
