If you are ovulating (you may not be with a cycle that short), it is probably between days 8 and 10. This is because a woman ovulates *about* 2 weeks (usually 12-16 days) before her next period. But it is virtually impossible to ovulate much before day 8.

If you are ovulating after day 11, you are probably infertile. The reason is that it takes at least a week for a fertilized egg to travel to the uterus to start implanting. If it doesn't get to the uterus before the hormones that will start your period have dropped, it will be too late for the fertilized to implant.

To know for sure, you need to chart your fertility signs. Please read _Taking Charge of Your Fertility_ by Toni Weschler for detailed information on how to do this.

Good luck!!

It depends on whether your cycle is shorter in the first half (the follicular phase) or the second half (the luteal phase). Many women with a 28-day cycle tend to ovulate around day 14. But with a 22-day cycle, I would think you could have ovulation from days 10-16.

When a woman has a short-ish cycle, often it is because the luteal phase is a little shorter than the follicular phase. That is why I estimate that your ovulation date will not be at the exact midpoint, like 11 days, and more likely be a few days after that.

However, there are a few ways you can know. The only way to know 100% is to have ultrasounds done and see if the sonographer can see any dominant follicles, or see if you've ovulated.

But after that, you can monitor your cervical mucus (when you have a bit more discharge and it's gooey, you're around ovulation), you can monitor your basal body temperature (if you measure it once a day, the slight increase midcycle is usually ovulation) or you can buy an ovulation kit at the pharmacy. The ovulation kit is a urine test that checks for luteinizing hormone. It can be quite accurate, but many women also complain that it is difficult to use. You could ask a pharmacist what brand s/he recommends.

You will most likely ovulate on day 11 of your cycle. Check for cervical mucus around that time. This will help you to determine the exact day of ovulation.

you ovulate 14 days before the first day of your period

you would ovulate on july 3 because you will be expecting your period on july 16th (that is assuming you get yor period on the correct day)

Go to www.babycenter.com, they have an ovulation predictor there, it is really neat. But the best thing to do is to get to know your body so you can tell. Good luck.
