That is a question mankind has been asking for years. I don't think we will ever really know.

Welcom to becoming aware of a possible purpose for your life. While there are many pople that will tell you there is No purpose, I know there is. It has to be, so let me begin by giving you a basis for my answer.

1. There is a God. Well, if not then this is a short answere. But after one studies the laws of nature, and one sees the Purpose and beauty in the design and laws of nature, then one can see it isn't an accident, but a thoughtful, planned out design.

2. If everything in nature has a purpose, then you do also. It is impossible to live fully without one. One just has to open up to the possibilities of ones own tallent, emotions and feelings. (Ok, pray!) and after trying a few "wrong" ideas, one can start to find it.

3. The purpose of mankind in general is to be a caretaker of what we have been given. Each group of people have different purposes, but even the most simple of groups have a purpose. If a group of people do not know their purpose, then we have chaos. Our purpose as a group of people must come from a sensitive and open leader who is trying to find "thier" purpose.

We are here for the sole purpos of glorifying God in our lives. That means that His purpose is to be fulfilled through us in any way He sees fit, if we let Him. Harmony, peace and one spirit existed in Eden with Adam and Eve, but the fall brought mankind down to a lower level, and all the strife and warfare and sin and destruction and death followed that. But the main purpose of mankind is that we do God's will during our sojourn here in our space of time allotted, and that He will be made known as real to people, and they will have that relationship with Him that Adam had in early creation in the garden. There is no purpose but the purpose we give ourselves. We are here because we aren't there.
