I doubt that this would be confirmed in a research study. We learned in psychology that people tend to remember what supports their hypothesis, and not what doesn't. So you remember when someone with a new car didn't use their turn signals and not when someone else doesn't. Maybe you're looking at new cars more then older ones, so you notice them more.

I would think one other thing might be that they're so busy trying to figure out how to work the radio that they forget!

It doesn't matter if they have new cars or old cars, some people just feel they are above the law and feel no need to use turn signals. It is very irritating and rude!

because they think they are too cool and that they can't get into an accident because their car is new. plus they are lazy.
