The way it's being run, the mind set of the people in it, things like that. What do you think/feel?

You need to stop playing into the hands of the Democratic party. They seem to feel that the only way they can get back into power is to convince you that the country is being ruined by an evil, inept, uneducated administration. I keep waiting to here or read some concrete plan that the Dems have to cure all the ills they continually whine about but as of yet I see nothing but negativity. I hope you understand that it is a documented fact that the journalists and educators in this country are overwhelmingly members or sympathizers with the Democratic party. They are complicit in perpetuating the myth that our country is going down hill by edit out good news and exaggerating the impact of any negative news.
I am more concerned with the vast ignorance that plagues our country. Too many people feel that the government is there to make sure you get the things you want in life. Too many people are content to come home from work and watch the major network news totally unaware that most of the people they hear from are reporting the news in a way to advance their own political goals.
You are responsible for your own success and your own viewpoint. You need to seek alternative sources of news. You need to do your own research on current events keeping in mind that reporters very often give accounts through a strong bias.
Look for the positive. Did you know that the economy is actually doing very well? Government revenues are higher now than they were before Bush's tax cut. Did you know that war in Iraq is going much better that it is generally reported? Did you know that the number one Al-Qaeda leader in Iraq wrote a report to his followers outlining the reason why they were losing in Iraq? Did you know that U.S and other coalition troops are capturing or killing key people of the insurgency in Iraq. Did you know that many attempts by Al-Qaeda to attack us again here in the U.S.have been thwarted?
Cheer up! With all its many problems your country is still a great place to live. If you are willing to get a good job they will always be out there for you if you are prepared. Winners rarely focus on the negative. They look for the positive, grasp it and use it to propel them into success.

It is America and we expect the best. Unfortunately with the war, started by Saudi Arabians not Iraq the loss of young lives and where there seems to be no end. The deficit being so high Americans going into debt while a person from Exxon could retire and get 375 million dollars while parents are having trouble taking children to school because of high gas prices. Louisiana and Mississippi still needing to recover while we build Iraq and forget our own country. I feel America should be taken care of first. Yes you have a reason to be depressed and expect more.

It is so depressing to me I find myself only reading the comics and the entertainment sections in the newspaper. I don't watch the news anymore. I figure when Bush gets finished playing with the world in a few more months I'll plug back in. In the meantime it's just really really depressing and very sad to me.

Its being run as a democratic republic, just the way it was designed to. Go across the Mexican border for a day, then see you you're still depressed about the way US is being run.

I will never ever understand why George Bush was re-elected. He will probably be looked back on as one of the worst in history.
