I brought a vehicle 4 months ago and have had several problems with the truck. The sellers knew of this problem and at the time of buying they agreed to a 2 year contract. But there is nothing on my contract which states that we have one. We did not find this out until we had a problem with the transmission. They told us to drop the truck off at this place and come to find out he was running game all along. They are not going ot fix our truck and we only had it for 4 months. We are refinancing the truck and of course the bank already gave them the money. But on the buyers giude they never marked off if it was an as is sale or warranty. Which leads to me to believe this was a setup. And before we put down the down payment we made sure they were going to give us this warranty. What are my options?

contact your citizens advice bureau and consult them about the legalities and maybe they might have had prior experience with a similar case. They should be able to point you in teh right direction and the right course of action. Sadly most peoples opinion here will amount to nothing much, you need to talk to people who deal with things like this for a living.

If you don't have it in writing you are going to have quite an uphill battle. Try talking to a lawyer and see what you can do. At least threaten the people that sold you the truck that you're calling a lawyer. Sometimes when dishonest people realize they might be in alot of trouble they'll back down and do what's right. If all that doesn't work then call Judge Judy. She'll put them in their place.

The fastest way to get resolution is to contact a local television station that does a consumer watch feature. Even if they deny that you had a service contract the fact that you had trouble with a vehicle that soon after you bought it isn't going to look good on their blotter.
