Use some props or other visuals. Throw out questions to the other students every so often. Keep your mood lively, and it will be infectious.

Nowadays 'proper' really depends on you. Use a style that you are comfortable with. Research your subject well. Use a power point presentation. After all, technology should be present in the classroom. If you don't know how to do that, get some help and guidance from school personnel. Make it interactive. Ask questions. Let your audience ask questions. Give them an outline of what you will talk about or have it on a slide presentation. It's your report. Go for it !!!! Also, give them an incentive to listen - whatever that might be. Be creative and enjoy. If you don't, they won't!

Visuals. Remember the 80/20 rule.
80% of people learn more and remember more when there have been visuals used in a presentation or learning tool.
The class would also love anything that they get to participate in with you, always involve your audience in the presentation, whether it's by asking them questions or having a participant help you. If you have a prize for best answers that is always a winner too. Good luck with it.

handouts are a distraction; every one looks at them and not at you. try an overhead, or poster to control thier vocal focus.
to make it interesting practice what you will say. Use enthusiasm to talk about the topic and find interesting things to say about it. Ask the audience informal (but easy questions related to the topic) never make them feel like they could get the wrong answer. (a poll usually helps in this)
Also, make eye contact with as many people as you can while you are talking. Try to count to 2 (one one thousand two one thousand) before looking away; but be aware of your facial expression when you do this.... if you are frowning they will think you are scolding them.
move around the room if possible, but don't wander... and don't fidgit.
I think that you'll be fine if you practice. Keep this in mind: I have found that students are far more interested than thier faces express so don't be discouraged if they aren't all smiling.
good luck

THe best way is to talk about something you are REALLY interestsed in. And PLAN the questions you will ask and how the interaction will go. Plan it out and think it through in advance for the participation in the report. How will they participate? How will you get them involved? How will you end it? Pick something everyone is interested in in your class.

I used to get extremely worried when I had to do an oral document in front of a style. What I did replaced into practice persistently back. it may no longer look like lots even though that's a good sized help. additionally, in case you look at your type buddies, it will make you greater worried so which you need to concentration on a factor interior the back of the room. Your classmates in all threat do no longer care approximately who's up, in basic terms attempting to waste time, so don't be worried. Take a huge breathe till now you're approximately to cutting-edge to, to maintain you concentration and calmed. i'm hoping you do reliable and that my suggestion helped. =]

Whenever I do a presentation, I outline what I'm going to do and after each section I ask, "Any questions or comments?" Occasionally I also throw out, "Has anyone tried this?" or "what do you think?" The more questions you ask and the more involved the audience is, the less work you have to do when you're standing up there!

humor is important in ur report,so ur topic should contain sth ur claamates r interested .so questions they r easy to answer and some funny games they can take part in .
once i made a speech in the class.I told them my experience that my all-in-one card was locked in an automobile case ,and the case should be opened by the card ,my bag was in the case in which there were my mobilephone ,purse and dorm key,at that moment i had nothing ,fortunetely one of my roomates was in the dorm.and i atayed at dorm for 6 hours befor i could get back my bag and card in the case. and i informed my classmates to take care of the all-in-one card, without it we could not go to carteen ,library and so on,even if u have cash u can not use it on campus except the card .

Handouts, pictures, polls and Q&A sessions always are good interactions when it comes to presentations. It's kind of difficult to suggest more unless you specify what you are reporting.
