I have a difficult time in saying that any movie is really scary. More often it is the suspense that does it.

I think the movie that is most suspenseful, that keeps me on the edge of my seat, and inevitably haunts me and keeps me looking over my shoulder for a day or so after I watch it (and I mean every time I have watched it) is Signs.

The movie itself was suspeneful and kept me on the edge of my seat, and I jumped more than once. The part that I always keep with me for a day or so after is the fact the damn things can be invisible. After I watch the thing I get freaked that the aliens could be watching us and we would be none the wiser.

a movie located in venice, italy, some 25 years ago, starring donald sutherland and julie christie (not sure about her) whose italian title was A VENEZIA UN DICEMBRE ROSSO SHOCKING. don't know about the international title or the movie maker, anyhow should sound like IN VENICE A SHOCKING RED DECEMBER. got to do with a little girl died (in a canal) and after that sort of resurrected and reappearing in so scary scenes i've never seen before. i'm still looking for it in videostores down here in italy or waiting some network to show it but no way, so far. if you can get a copy of it in the states don't miss it. it gives real chills and thrills

The scariest movie I ever saw was the original Amityville horror. But I was about 14 when I saw it.
