okay now another question when you reinstall windows xp and you go through everything and that box comes up where you have to put that long thin of numbers and letters,,,where on here can i find some of those

that is the windows xp licence product key
it should be available at the cd box of your windows xp

Its your XP registration code. Sometimes its printed on the side or back of your PC, otherwise it comes on a piece of paper or CD when you purchased it.

It is on a sticker, either on the back or bottom of your computer or on the Windows XP package that you bought or should have been shipped to you with your computer.

hopefully on the case of the CD or somewhere on the PC.
otherwise you have to buy a new version of windows XP.
its not the software you buy but the serial number.

if you have a genuine Ms Win Xp CD you should see it on the CD case.
