i am more afraid of the fact we have run-away legislation that is removing our civil liberties.
We have people of many faiths in government and the one thing i know about religion is none of them get along.
I have noticed a trend towards more co-operation though among the different faiths in electing politicians.
RELIGION is under a microscope these days and slowly more facts are pointing to it being silly superstition rooted in fear and the un-known.
THE bible or books of all religions include people that have lived around the times people write stories including there profits and unless your profit is the ruler or king of the land no information exists to support there existence
Pilgrimages did not begin till well after the stories were told and only slowly grew over hundreds of years .PEOPLE did not begin going to the site of jesus tomb or crucifixion for over 200 years.
THEY (religious leaders) are beginningto scramble to hold on to beleivers.churches are falling into ruin in america and new mega churches are springing up .THESE churches have seating for 10 and 20 thousand members and if you doubt there political involvement you have not noticed whats happenong in america.THEY have many political agends and community involvement at the highest levels .THESE people once motivated buy there leader or politician become campaign advocates making calls walking precincts and turning out votes for the people choosen for them by there leaders.
THESE choosen politicians are as blind as a bat to the needs of americans and serve only the mega churches values this does not represent america but only about 1% of the community that is very active.
IF democrats ever want to be elected they need a strong orginized base like these mega churches provide for consevatives.
REMEMBER if i can get you in a room and tell you jesus said so that one hour sermon just got turned into a political ralley if given in a mega church.
religion is on its way out in america this is its last flash and appears bright but the light will fade out quickly.
WE can not ignor the impact of this and will need to remove and repair some laws written during this time over the last twenty years.
RELIGION is becoming a thing of the past , only religious leaders of the catholic church , there politicians, support the mexicans here who just so happen to be predominently catholic.
BUT my friend bush is attacking the press for giving him such a hard time for 8 months when he took (TOOK) office and had no support for anything and went on vacation till 9-11.NOW bush beleives he was meant to be the leader of the new crusades against fundimental religious leaders who have declared war on all christians world wide.THEY SEE our bible as wrong and the peoplle following the devil so bushes responce is bring it on and he will track them down to the ends of the earth never giving-up.
HAD we not tried to change there way of live and not brought western ideas and crimes with us they would have ignored us but 40 years of interferance in there way of life lead to this point.I fear idiots like bush and a religious people but now we see them all for what they are and soon america will evolve beyond mystical and fear driven populations concerned more about personel gain and profit then religion.

I'm just concerned with the way our economy is being ruin by oil. We have alternatives but It just taking too long to produce them. Our country is becoming too dependent on others and we need to be more independent. Maybe then we can do more good for the rest of the world. We are quite vunerable right now. I feel the rug is going to be pulled from under us pretty soon..........wait a second what was the question again?? Oh yeah, Theocracy is a Government based on religion. No not realy concerned.....we are a so called "free" country. We were based on religion in the first place. We are heavily pulling away from religion and the morals that come with it. If anything we should be trying to keep those morals in tacked but you can't force people to have standards that they don't agree with. Religion to me has really nothing to do with it. I feel we are becoming a greedy selfobsorbed people that are going so far out of our way to be extreme that we are losing sight of our virtues. I'm not religious but maybe it would be good to get back to basics and take a good look at ourselves in order for self improvement. Maybe be a little more humble?

I'm not too concerned. They cannot fool enough people for long enough for their changes to stick around for very long. Fanatics require absolute control to maintain their power. Any doubt in their Authority erodes that very Authority. That is why Iran and China censor their media so tightly. Now that the GOP has fully alienated the aliens (immigrants), their slim margin that led to two Bush terms will be gone. If it were to last for very long, it would eventually splinter and the factions that emerge from the split would antagonize each other. That is why there are so many forms of Christianity and Islam. Any One True Path will always splinter into groups that are antagonistic to each other. It's the nature of fanaticism when it lacks complete control.

My opinion:
Absolutely! The common people have no voice because they are too busy boosting productivity, usually through mandatory uncompensated overtime. The vocal extremes seem to be the only groups being heard in Washington these days. These self-righteous fanatics don't represent the average American. That Pat Robertson idiot needs his head examined and the republicans just egg him on. What ever happened to the separation of church and state? One ray of hope (sanity) was Sen. McCain but now he seems to be joining the far right. Just goes to show that all politicians go where the money is. It's one thing to be religious, but for people in positions of power to push their beliefs on the general population using government platforms and at taxpayer expense is just wrong and goes against the country's foundation of pluralism defined by our founding fathers. Tolerance of differences is what makes America great. Intolerance will destroy us. Look what it is doing to the Middle East.

The "neocon" leadership of this nation doesn't have the power or the ability to turn us into a theocracy. You are merely sensationalizing for attention. Kinda sad, really.

No. This 'theocracy' stuff is baseless hysteria.

It's silly, and people who spew this type of hyperventilating hyperbole need to take a look at facts and history to see what an empty argument this whole 'theocracy' thing is.

The intellectual impoverishment of the 'theocracy' theory is the saddest aspect of it.

No I am more concerned that the libbies, continue to whine and cry about the Presidency. You had your chance, the BEST you could do was John Kerry!! I thought Howard Dean was your messiah? If I was the libbies, I'd be looking into how he lost terribly in all the caucuses he was supposed to win!!

More concerned really about the socialist liberals that want to strip the last vestiges of a Republic away!

I'm not. *LOL* I'm more worried about all those GODLESS liberals that want to take over this country and tell me how to live and act. I'm afraid if they do I'll have to accept pedophilia and beastiality as alternate life styles. Who knows what will come after that.

*BG* See I can go to the extreme as well as you can.
