its not a formula, its different for each person.
for me it is a feeling, an almost dreamlike feeling of warmth and happiness THAT CANNOT BE EXPRESSED IN WORDS.

Love means something else 2 everybody..For the boys(not all of them) usually means having sex, but i do not agree with them..The person that u love is a person without u can't live, breathe, it means everything 4 u !! U may say that i am way 2 romantic but u asked about true love..and that is what true love means..Well...this is true love: "When u have 2 go don't say goodbye/If have 2 go don't u cry/If u have 2 go have a goodbye/ I will follow u see ya on the other side..."

True love to me is unconditional love. This means giving of true love without the expectation of receiving anything in return.
Many these days love with conditions. They will love you IF this or IF that.
If you dont fit into these conditions then they no longer love you.
This is not true love.
True love takes much patience and understanding. True love requires forgiveness and giving. True love means you dont tire of the person or do anything that will hurt the person intentionally.
True love requires that you do the giving. If this is done properly, true love will actually be returned to you. These days things are so fast paced and everyone is expecting all the time, this I feel is leading to a breakdown in the number of people who really understand what true love is.
True love is not what you can get, or what someone can give you or do for you. True love is the pleasure of doing for others. It is called unconditional love

Looking at what everyone else put for an answer... They're right, the meaning of love is different for everybody, you need to figure out how you feel with him, and if it's what you want the meaning for you to be! For me, it's having the woman I love be so high on a pedastal, putting all her needs, wants and worries before my own. Making sure she has everything and anything she needs to be happy before me, because if she is'nt happy, I will never be!

Love is being in heaven I'ts when you begin living for him\her..It's when you begin seeing the world with his\her eyes..It's when you know what life is..It's when you say bye bye to your EGO..It's when you feel the pain inside even then you smile..
It's when you find a reason to live..
Living for someone belonging to someone without selfish interests and acheivements soothing isnt it??

Love is by its nature unlimited and a person’s supply can not be exhausted. People can find themselves emotionally exhausted and incapable of feeling love. But, love itself is a metaphysical abstract and therefore dimensionless. It can not be divided, parceled or measured and is available in unlimited supply to those who understand how to access it.
