why not phone the school to fix you up with some of the work they're doing in her class, I'm sure 1 of her friends would bring it round for you

Best to contact the school. Many schools will not give out work now but if they can they will as they will not want her to fall behind. Reason work is not given home is that a lot of it requires 'teaching' and that is often different nowadays to how you or I learned it at school! Better your daughter being a little behind and having to catch up when she is better and back to school than being confused for life becauset he way you teach it is different from her teacher! I am speaking from experience! Best to keep talking about what she had been doing at school before she was ill so she doesnt forget about that, you can always give her examples to keep her brain and memory working. Good luck!

Depending on how ill your child is should depend on what you give her. If she is really sick it would probably be best for her to rest because most illness's require alot of rest to gain recovery especially in children and learning in children comes best when a child is happy and healthy.
If the child is bored then do try some workbooks or some of the online learning but make it fun to help there recovery!!

Definitely go to the school. They'll know what your child has been doing recently. Any good school would be more than happy to help. Also it depends how long they're off. if its a week, i would say (as a student myself) that you should give your child a break. But if you do give them hwk, don't expect to be popular with them i'm afraid. lol. Then again, my mum&dad made me do hwk, and i didn't get below a b at GCSE, so as much as i hate to admit it, it probably works.

How old is she? Is she up to homework?
CD roms? Those Letts books are age appropriate and are`easily available from Tesco. Similar versions of their own brand too. My girls enjoy working their way through them. They have all the school curriculum subjects in a series of books, about £3 each.
Hope she recovers well and soon.

My mother would always call the teacher at some point in the day and ask her to put together a packet of the day's course work which my mother would then pick up at the school.

i would check with your child's teacher and get assignments from her, to keep your child up to pace with the class, nothing worse than returning to school and having a stack of makeup assignments to do.
not sure of the age of your child, but here are a few websites that might be worth visiting
awesome.i12.com
iKnowthat.com
SchoolExpress.com
PrimaryGames.com
Wunderground.com
my sons favorite site would be dragongamez.com
hope this info is helpful to you and your child.
