If you could discover or restore an artifact, civilization, or archeological site that has been lost to history what would it be? and/or if you could "crack" the meaning of a language or artifact whom know one either understands or knows what it's for what would it be?

Mine would be the Library of Alexandria.

I would love to walk around ancient Persepolis, during the reign of Xerxes I. See if Alexander the Great and Hephaistion were really acting like Oliver Stone says (or if Stone was being conservative).

The Aztecs had a prophecy that their god, Quezltcoatl would return a certain year...that same year, Cortez showed showed up. I would love to see the conquistadores' and the Aztecs' reactions when they discovered the truth.

Of course, the Library of Alexandria would be cool.

I would love to crack Linear A, and the Ur-language.

ooohhh too hard! there are so many!
at this moment in time, i would choose the royal library of alexandria.

(maybe they know the answer to the pyramids, i just cant get my head around 1000000000000000000000000000000s of slaves doing it, not when i look in the tool box of the ancient egyptians)

oops, i didnt even see your library answer, but that is what i would restore too!
