For example, could all of these natural disasters be caused by a higher being that is warning us of our future, impending doom? Just a thought. It can be something else, but I thought I'd give that example.

Hello Rusty : Your intuition is brilliant: you are almost right! The natural disasters have two causes:

1)The human being action like a virus infection;
2)Astronomics systems are under evolution, like everything else in Universe, so, the bodies changes, the sun’s system change.

There are two sources of astronomic changes acting over Earth just now:

a)The Earths’ nucleus is a seed of a star. Since that the light from the sun began to reach that seed (about 3, 5 billions years ago, we think), it began flourishing. The seed is covered by the nutrition stocked at the geological layers and once it woke up, it began to feed from those nutrients, which we call “nuclear reactions”. Those nuclear reactions
produces heat which needs valves for not to explode the planet, and those valves are the volcanoes. Once the “heat” from the nucleus reaches the surface, we have increasing global warm. The nuclear reactions provoke tectonic plate’s displacements (Somebody can stop the plate tectonics, please?!). And others phenomena that change Earths’ surface;

b)The sun is a star at deadly-end. Its cadaver are being decomposed in dusty and dusty are being accumulated which will create a vortice and after that, a black hole. These transformations in the astronomic system surrounding us, of course, produce changes at planets’ surfaces.

So, you are right! There is a higher being that is warning us of our future. The higher being here is an astronomic system (you can see in Matrix’s Theory that astronomic system are semi-living beings), and the force behind it is “macroevolution”. He is warning us about our future: do not loose your time, you need a peaceful humanity working together and with love, because you need every human being strong and healthier helping the advance of your Science, supporting initiatives like NASA, because you will need to move from your planet.

But do not worry too much: the increasing of natural disasters obeys astronomical time scale, so, for us, single microscopic virus, we have a lot of time ahead.

Well, America and other nations have been doing seriously evil things for a long time, so its a very belated warning. The higher being must have been having a long sleep.

It is impossible to say with certainty what the causes of the observed warming are, and there are probably several causes.

But what can be said with certainty is that the rate of warming is higher than the Earth has seen before due to natural causes (of course, the Earth has been much hotter in the past, but at the time it did not and could not support human life).

What can also be said with certainty is that climate models do forecast large effects from small changes in the concentration of so called greenhouse gases in the atmosphere (ie gases that absorb light to become warm - there are many such gases beyond CO2, and many of them are also the result of pollution).
However, these models cannot predict with certainty the role of these gases, nor the outcome.

Finally, we know with certainty that all of the outcomes of models are basically bad new for us. In the worst case scenarious, where weather systems are profoundly altered, it is likely that they would bring civilization to and end (they would not wipe out life). In the best case scenario, they would have profound economic effects (for example, most coastal cities would be lost or would become marginally inhabitable, like New Orleans). This would include New York, London, Los Angeles, Tokyo etc. It is hard to predict what the outcome of this sort of economic disruption would be, but looking at history it is hard to believe it would be good.

It seems extremely unlikely that our political and economic systems will be able to do very much to prevent global warming. We may well already be too late, and if we are not we are certainly not doing enough to have any objective impact on the problem. The attitudes of people like George Bush - that there will be a technical solution - is Eutopian. It takes not accounts of the real world, where there is no economic imperative to fix the problem (because government will not create one - this is called "The Problem of the Commons" in economics) and no clear evidence that such a solution exists.

Oh my ,oh my, As I read the answers posed to this question,I wonder if humanity will actually make it another century with the science that is being promulgated on the planet.It is really a simple answer. The earth has a phi grid that is the cymatic lattice that surrounds the earth.The suns energy/frequency drives the motor of the planet. The frequency is that of oxygen /hydrogen. The sky is blue because of the oxygen frequency. The energy from the grid needs to flow to ground,that happens down ley lines to the grounds which emanate out like spokes on a wheel. Some people call these grounds vortexes.(So you can look them up) There are tornadoe alleys because the energy always wants to follow a grid/ground line,and if you get a phi grid map of the US and start tracking the meteorite reports and their trajectories,you will see they follow those upper phi grid lines node to node until their kinetic energy is used up and they crash to earth. There are energetic/frequency anomalies that come into our sector of the universe that perturb our grid just as an explosion in outer space caused the heating of our planet thousands of years ago and caused the super volcanoes to be formed and active to vent the excess magma created by the energy flowing into the grounds.We are in one of those periodical times when just such an energetic anomaly is effecting the planet and is causal for all of the earths warming and anomalous weather patterns. This period will subside as always. The scientific community has done a dis -service to humanity by promoting the current theories/models to further their own agendas and cause fear and economic hardship to the inhabitants of the earth.

i think global warming is effecting our weather patterns but remember throughtout geoogic history the earth has been a pretty violent and changing place, like the snowball earth theory, and then the south pole once being a tropical place. Remeber we are comparing weather patterns over a 100 years or so but to really understand climate we would have to look at things over thousands if not millions of years. The earth has an extremely violent past, not only chronic total earth ice ages but also comet impacts nd wide spread volcanoes which spwe out alot more gren house gases than man has.

The earth consists of land mass and water. The land is rocky and hard, soft with river beds, with moderate to heavy rainfall or no rainfall presence of dense forest or deserts, ice caps on poles, volcanos etc., Oceans enclosing land mass are not the same way in all the places. The temperature around all these places are not the same. Besides there is the movement of land and sea according to the pressure exerted on each. Change of land mass on earth's surface is taking place because of this. The changes that take place accompany with hurricanes, tornadoes, tsunami etc., Avlanches also are caused due to change in temperature of the zone. Finally, any change in one form of nature will have to affect the other, as neither energy is created nor destroyed. So, changes in land, air, water, atmosphere and heat causes natural disasters.

As for natural disasters, the Earth is constantly changing and the processes we see today have been occurring since the beginning of Earth's time --principle called uniformitarianism. As far as a higher being that is up to the individuals beliefs.

All the natural disaters don't occur because of global warming they were there even before global warming started.There are many factors that lead to natural disasters:

1.Movement of large plates under the earth's crust causes Earthquakes.
2.Earthquakes inside the sea which causes damage to sea floor displace large quantity of water and causes Tsunami.If the same happens on mountains and large volume of ice is displaced it causes Avalanche.
3.Sudden movement of wind from high pressure area to low pressure area causes Hurricanes.
4.Sudden outbusts of earth's crust due to pressure created from inside because of gasses and molten lava result in eruption of Volcanoes.

Yes, my friend. I believe that there is a "Greater than All" that has warned us of these events, as well as what WILL occur in the future for all of creation. For there shall be "signs" in the skies; the sun and the moon will have "strange activity" occurring, such as never been seen before. For mankind will become fearful and their hearts overwhelmed with fear because of the things that they will see happening! Unfortunately, my friend, these things will just be the beginning of a much sorrowful and painful turn of events, that will ultimately end in "death" for some and "Life" for others.

The truth is, earth is alive like humans. Imagine earth's inner flesh appearance. Earth moves around from day to night, it only show signs of natural disaster which is inevitable.

The natural disasters have always been there. Good things that happen just aren't newsworthy, so we don't hear about them.
