Well, it comes down to two teams. First I will say the second best and that's the White Sox with Jose Contreras (8-0, 3.15 ERA) who hasn't lost a game since sometime in the middle of last season and Mark Buehrle (9-4, 3.22 ERA). Number one, though, goes to the Tigers with rookie Justin Verlander (10-4, 3.13 ERA) and Kenny Rogers (3.44, 10-3), opposite ends of the spectrum, no? They are both having great seasons and seem to be leading their team deep in the playoffs. It's a close call and you can argue you it either way, but that's 20 wins by two starters versus 17. Slight edge to the Tigers. You might think about Clemens and Roy Oswalt in Houston.

It's a close call. Mark Buehrle/Jose Contreras of the Chicago White Sox or Curt Schilling/Josh Beckett of the Boston Red Sox would typically be odds on favorites for this honor. But I would have to go with Roger Clemens/Roy Oswalt if the season were on the line.

in case you need to deal Beltran for some upside gamers then i might. Its stable, yet i do no longer purely like the skill for progression. Glaus, youthful, Matsui, Burrel, Victorino, Iwamura, Teaen, Winn, Grud, Gonzalez.. Its especially previous, and especially unexceptional. Or or 2 the two rated gamers with upside might have been stunning. i admire the pickup of Owens Kouzmanoff is with regard to the only guy i like to make a contribution greater effective than they did in 2007, possibly Pedroia batting at suitable of lineup for an entire season, Owens if Gregg gets injured. anybody else...

I'll take the White Sox starting five over anyone else's, and that's the difference. You don't get a night off when facing the White Sox.

I will go even further than that, Schilling, Becket, Wakefield and Lester. It is too bad that Schill is so late in his career, it would be nice to see him work with Lester for a few years!

no love for the Tigers here....Verlander, Bonderman, Rogers and Robertson. Four knockout pitchers.
