What do different nationalities think about Romania?

I have never been to Romania, but I do have a good friend from there. I can only answer based upon my experiences with her and her interactions with other American sfrom the Midwest.

I think most Americans are curious. Our curiosity is based upon the difference in governments as much as anything else. We would like to hear that Romania had it bad under Communism, etc.

My friend is very intelligent, articulate and opinionated. Some see her as abrupt and arrogant, but once you get to know her you find that she is very generous with elegant manners.

I'm ucrainian and think Romania is quite cool.
The People I know are fun and they have interesting names ^^
even their parents are cool.
the country itself is like Ucraina itself... not the best but you can live there ... I like them both ^^

well people have different opinions. my uncle is romanian and the popularity has risen in pop culture from the dragostea din tea song by ozone. but yeah romania is awesum.
