if u hit start programs accessories system tools there should be in there a files and settings transfer thing u can use, or if u have a burner u can burn some of the things u want to save, as far as programs etc

The fastest way, should to insert your HD as slave into the new computer. Then copy all files you want. After that remove the HD and insert into the old computer. If the garantee voids to open the computer, second solution should be to connect them in network using a hub and allowing the old to share its files.

create a pc to pc link. just buy a standard crossover ethernet cable and connect them to the ethernet ports. you now have to edit your TCP/IP setting to recognize each other. network connections, select the LAN, right click then select properties. double click on internet protocol TCP/IP. select the option "use this ip address" on the first pc, use the ip 192.168.0.1 and 192..168.0.2 on the second pc. tab on the other fields and it will automatically populate. click ok. then go to your "my computer" on each pc and right click on the drive that you want to share. just select sharing and everything should be pretty much self explanatory from there. good luck.
