If she's going to be a housewife than she should be prepared to do 99% of the housework. Tell her she can either get a job, take care of everything in the house or get the **** out. That simple. Seriously, have you no balls? It should never have come to this. How did she get used to sitting indoors? Did you allow it to happen for a long time and now are unhappy with it. From the first sign of her not working and being lazy you should have jumped on her and told her to either get a job or do all the household chores or be prepared to get out of the house. As far as getting grief back, do you take it? Do you just shut up when she gives you grief? That's a mistake right there if you do. She needs a big time reality check or she needs to get the hell out of the house. Be a man.

Keep on her. She is just being lazy and foolish. Tell her there is no way for you to get married if she doesn't have a real job. Marriage is a sign of maturity and she's acting like an irresponsible 16 year old who expects you to do everything.
If you actually make enough money for the two of you, then make sure she's not on her *** all day. See that she does errands, and makes your home spotless, and researches cheap things to do!

She must be allergic to work like my soon to be ex-husband! Just wanted to play video games 24/7. He would work for a few months, quit for a few months. I was stupid and put up with it for 8 yrs. If the person is gonna stay home and clean and cook, that is not so bad. But when you work and have to come home and do all that, it is b.s.

Let it go.
Make a point, but not too much, of respecting women with jobs.
If she shows an interest in lifting herself up, temper it by suggesting part-time. She can always get more hours later.
Do not say that she can use her wage to help towards the bills (she may want to - just don't say it)

If you intend to marry this gal, you better resign yourself to accepting her as a stay at home housewife. You also have to contend with possible laziness and lack of motivation. Considers these things carefully before you tie the knot.Divorces are costly financially and emotionally.

If the shoe was on the other foot, she would be on your case about this. Be wise about this, very very seldom do people change their "work" habits. People like that will most often always have a problem working for a living.

Tell her to try temp agencies. Because it takes about 3-6 months to get a job.

Move on! I can't stand freeloaders! If she's not looking after your children, tell her to stop being a parasite or move out! Why should you work and keep her when she does nothing at all in return?

If you dont mind paying for everything then deal with it. If you want and/or need her financial help you need to put your foot down and tell her findand keep a job or leave her lazy asss.
