I don’t think they ever can when they are competing directly with the NFL. I am a big fan of both sports. I am just glad I have a split screen ability on my TV. I read this week now they are going to start the races later in the day. If I remember correctly they will start no race earlier than 2pm EST, this might help. I would like to see NASCAR move races to Saturday night. I think this would help them gain more viewers.

NEVER!
Nascar is heavily watched only in the US. Other sports have 5 times more audience throughout the world. And from all motorsports, the one with the biggest audience is Formula 1. Mark my words, Nascar and IndyCar will go off in a few years' time!
F1 IS THE PINNACLE OF MOTORSPORT!!!!

It could, but I don't think it will happen. The problem is the networks don't really care to bring the race to the viewers as it should. Instead, they break for commercial at ridiculous times. Football, which is probably the biggest competition, doesn't have those problems because the broadcast is geared to the game. You don't miss any of the action.

I doubt over football, but is possible over the rest of the sports!

Nascar rocks! Me personally I would rather watch: Nascar, baseball and basketball over football...but your talking out of all viewers!

nascar needs to take a good long look at it`s self and stop with the make up the rules as we play the game... (as with a lot of sports) They take away 25 point`s from a driver for accidentally saying sh!t on t.v. and justified it buy saying image and kids are watching....... this year the first race of the season and Huston we have a CHEATER.. the crew chief is the only one that gets punished and the driver that won the race goes on to keep all his points like nothing happened....

I think so. It's getting up there, and the sport is only growing each year.

Not if they continue broadcasting boring road races like last week in California.

Unlikely. Although it's hugely popular, I don't think it has the appeal, pacing or level of excitement that the NFL has.
