Because we're no longer trying to convince the other person that we're worthy of being married to. I think once people are married, we take each other for granted and those little declarations of love fall by the wayside. It's one of those sad truths.

Have you ever wanted a new car, seen it in the show room, wondered if you could afford it, dreamed about it and eventually bought it, only to have the new wear off. Unfortunately marriage is sometimes like that. It is very important to keep the "home fires burning" You can do that by being a little more sensitive to the needs and desires of your spouse, and doling those little things that will go a long way in keeping marital bliss from becoming martial arts.
