My mom is coming to visit me, how do I get the smoke smell out?

My two friends and I smoke inside my flat but my mom hates it. How do I get the smell out? Should I burn incense sticks or would it make it worse?

ok i am a pro for this clean your house spotless use clorox bleach cleaner for your sinks and for the bathroom and counter tops, mop your floor with lysol cleaner. after the house is totally clean get a tart candle and burn it in the kitchen and one in the den about an hour before mom comes over she will never ever smell it . Also buy febreeze air freshener and the fabric one too it takes all smells out. you'll be very pleased. No INCENSE she will think your smokin pot..

The best thing on the market is Fabreze. Incense will only work until it fades and the smoke will still be there. Use the product for fabrics for you carpet furniture and drapes. Depending on how long you have lived there you might want to wash the ceiling or walls with a vinegar and water solution. Or commercial cleaner. Good Luck

you might not believe this - but set out bowls of vinegar - it will absorb the smell. It also is going to depend on how long you've been smoking in there. Have the drapes cleaned and vacuum the couches and carpet really well. Try Febreeze on them.

On the other hand - It's your flat and your life and your Mom might just have to accept that. If she wants to visit you then she will tolerate it.

However, I wouldn't really feel that way and would try to accomodate my Mom with trying to alleviate the smoke smell.

If the weathers nice - open the windows and turn on fans facing outward.

free breeze works sometimes, the only way to get the smell completely out, wash walls,floors,curtains, and cleaner for furniture. Incense will just cover the smell with another smell she hates.
