The difference is that ur head is the voice of reason and will lead u safely, but your heart will lead u to complete ur dreams, even if it is not the safest way to go.

The heart informs the head, but not the other way around. In other words, what you feel influences how you think about something or someone ("love is blind"), but what you think about someone or something has much less effect on your emotions. This has been substantiated by neurological research. So, by using your head you are also taking your emotions into account, while just going with your heart may be irrational. Although it's not an easy decision to make, I would recommend listening to your head. Hearts are so easily broken...

There's a big difference. You may feel you are in love with someone but at the same time you can't really live with them for whatever reason (serious problems, etc.) and if you listen to your head - your brain will say "no this is not smart" but your heart may be feeling so much love that it doesn't matter and you could end up in a bad position later.

Depends on the situation and circumstances, as said above. When in doubt, go with your head.
When you can't make up your mind which to go with, then there's usually a problem there already where your head says no, but your heart says yes. If your heart says yes, but your head says no, then look at the reasons why... usually it's because your head sees some sort of trouble down the road... and most of time trouble will come when the writing's on the wall.

This is a difficult question, and maybe impossible to answer. The reason is that the answer to this question depends very much on the context.
Also, if you ask this only, because you have an academic interest in the difference, you should maybe read some psychology books (note that psychologists don't tend to make a difference between head and heart. It's all in the head....). :-)
If you have a real question, for example, a dilemma that is bugging you, ask the question directly.

That actually is a very legitimate question. I have to choose between my GF/fiance and a high paying contract position. I am wondering if our relationship can withstand me leaving for around 6 months and whether she would be waiting for me when I come back. My head says I should take the job because it would be better for both of us in the long run. My heart is concerned I will lose her. I wish I knew.

It depends on the situation.. Usually if it is an extremely important dicision u go by your feeling/heart because it seems more right. But, listening to you mind and not your heart will not make you happy.. The best thing is to be able to combine both =D

Head. Conscious decisions are better decisions. Listening to the head can save your life, listening to the heart can get you in trouble and even kill.

Your head will show you the bad points like this mans nasty side or possible complications or bad issues in a relationship but your heart just considers how happy you are when things are going well.
This is why you should always think with head and heart not just one of them
