Ha..ha..ha..ha..ha!
What a question Kim? I'm sorry to laugh, it's just that you don't usually ask questions like this one. Anyway, wherever your (not you exactly) desires drive you to, surely you'll find joy there. Anything will be painfull until you get used to it, and then pain becomes joy. Normal sexual intercourse is painful at or shortly after loosing virginity, but once you get used to it, nothing else matters in the world except sex. The same principle applies to anal sex. Those who engage in it will surely experience extreme pain first, but once they get used to it, they will completely forget if the vagina has ever existed.

HEY...I hear taking Meth makes you feel good...but I'm smart enough to look at all the negative & dangerous side effects, and choice NOT to.
The ANUS was designed for ONE WAY traffic only. Having anal sex can cause:
Rectocele, (in women only) where the rectum wall weakens and protrudes into the Vagina...You'll basically have to stick a dido up the vagina, to push the rectum back in place to take a dump for the rest of your life. This condition also causes fecal incontinence...(or leaking of $hit from the anus) Ooooh sexy!
Rectal Prolapse, (A very common disorder in older Gay men) This can be full or partial, where the rectal membrane protruds out the anus...aslo causing fecal incontence. Yea, baby...you're so clean...NOT
Bleeding Hemorrhoids, A disorder where the blood vessels in the rectum become inflamed & enlarged, often breaking or tearing. It is very painful.
Impacted bowels, aka chronic constipation...oh, I guess some anal sex lovers wouln't mind walking around all day feeling like a log is shoved up your butt.
Proctitis, Which is painful inflamation of rectal membranes.
(another very commom disorder of gay men) can also cause fecal incontinence
Rectal abscess, compare it to a internal hemorrhoid.
As you can see, most all of these disorders can also cause fecal incotinence. Most older gay men (50+ years) have to ware "Depends" or other adult diaper. So, there is really NO WAY to be "clean"
You can say I'm making this all up, I don't really care but the fact is, my sister has been as a colorectal specialist/surgen for 20 years. She says well over 3/4 of her patients with rectal disfunction are homosexual men.

I enjoy it. It feel amazing when you do it right and are doing it with someone you trust and are in a faithful relationship with. I say that because anal sex does increase risk factors for STD's and what not.
Not always is there 'poop' involved. Its usually best to have anal sex when that has passed from your system and also. But if it happens when you have not, there is little to none still because of the way it is done.
Its not nasty, for girls, its great because its a different feeling, I can reach orgasam 5 times faster from it. However, its not something that I want to do every night.
Lube is important, and yes it does hurt for a moment, but after it passes, its a great feeling.

If you give it a shot, you'll have a much better understanding of it.
...just remember to pick up a bottle of lube (if you don't have some already) before you go all out.
...and no, it shouldn't hurt (hence the lube). If it does, you/your partner need to be more 'gentle' and lube up a little better!
...You know, if it was such a pain in the **** *LOL*, you think it would be so common? Most people do it because it feels good; most people choose do most thing (that are not necessary) for this reason.
Kim: Never say never hun.
Randy W: answer to your Q: better access to the g-spot=more direct stimulation, not that different from a man.
FrEaKoNaLeAsH: You definitely have my vote!

Anal sex is very dangerous. If you do this please use protection. The reason men enjoy it is because the prostate is very near the rectum and it allows for direct stimulation of the prostate. Bottoms usually preform and enema before they have anal sex. Anal sex is 700% more likely to spread an STD than any other form of sexual activity. I cant say why a woman would agree to this but i think it may have something to do with all the nerves that line the rectum.

if one is "clean" (no fecal matter in their colon--enemas or proper colon cleanse) and doesn't have s**t up there, it is very clean. also, if one believes that the backdoor is only for number two it is hard to understand that there are super sensitive nerve endings around the anus hence a feel good area. in addition males have a prostate woman do not. the prostate can be related to a woman's g spot. if one takes care in learning how to enjoy the backdoor. well then one has another entrance into the world of pleasure. and yes if one is not clean or needs to use the bathroom well there is gonna be much poop in the house and it is quite a turn off when you start to smell the smell so remember it's all about prep.

But there were a few times...which was gross...and is why we dont do it anymore. It very very kinky....really tight in there....I just hate that afterwards it makes me feel like i have to **** a lot and is an akward feeling to sit down. haha. Well, I see u already have lots of answers which vary greatly in opinion, so, I guess I'lll add mine too. Remember that the only "stupid" question is the one you DIDN"T ask! Meaning, if you're curious, its stupid NOT to ask! You should be able to make an "informed opinion" about everything you learn.
So here is my reply... Dr. Freak at your service!
It can be messy if you don't prepare for it. But when you are prepared it can be great, if your partner practices patience with you. I'm not sure of your age, but I imagine you are fairly young. I will say a few things about my experience with this. I had a bf when I was younger, I loved him and wanted to please him, so I let him do it. It was uncomfortable, but not painful, and he was patient. ( and on the average to small side) He loved it, I could live without it, but I let him do it several times. Years later, in another long term relationship, I agreed to do it again. I was amazed at the difference a few years could make. I actually got soaking wet it was so good. ( You'll find as your body matures and you explore its senses more, parts of it you didn't know existed will "wake up") And finally to the here and now...
I've been married now for 15 yrs to a man with a very large penis. Of course, we discussed it years ago, he knew that I had done it before. I was afraid to let him do it for about 7 yrs. We tried, and it just wasn't gonna happen! So, now I'm in my thirties, I thought I'd found all my senses and knew them well... and all of a sudden, I want it again, but I'm still afraid of his size. We've used toys occasionally, and it was good, and I have found that I can get off that way. But then I wanted more. Still afraid, but well prepared for it just 2 days ago, and damn was it great!
So, what I suggest is to go to sexualhealth.com and follow the links to the "how to" section. Once u visit this site, you'll know where to go for great, non-judgemental info with nothing too taboo!
If you REALLY want to know why people do it, get some lube and lock yourself in a room and take time to explore how things feel.
When you successfully "wake up" those senses and want to know more, I suggest using an enema about an hour before. Using a thick water-based lube (and LOTS of it) And gently push against him as he enters slowly, patiently and GENTLY. Above all things don't let him go like a bunny! Let him go at your pace, you can pick it up if you feel the urge. Take the time to relax before and stay relaxed for a few minutes until its comfortable. If you feel anything uncomfortable, use more lube, more lube, more lube!
As for your question about it being a turn off....some like it, some don't.....but in my experience with "waking up", I'm glad that I was open-minded enough to try it again. Sometimes it isn't just the physical act of it, it's the emotional rush you get when you feel like you're being "bad" that makes it even better. And how hot you get the next day remembering how much you liked it.
BTW... did I 4 get to mention that I do this for my husband too, and I think I enjoy doing it to him just as much as he enjoys letting me do it.....
Damn, wish I'd had some old lady to write me a book about sex when I was your age! I surely wouldn't have wasted much time NOT doing things I was afraid of!

I think it looks painful and besides, I feel like my poop shoot is an exit only, if you know what I mean. I've halfway tried it and backed out, it just wasn't for me. I don't know what other people see in it, but if it works for them.

it all depends on individual perference and practice. it should not be painful except the movement is opposite direction ( poop comes out while peneration is both ways ) as sex is both body and mind...it would be sexciting...
