In Indian context, leaving apart seasoned and regular tourists, more people have started spending on tourism hesitantly but taste are still to develop!
Earlier, tourism was more pilgrimage oriented but now non-pilgrimage destinations are visited and spoiled by a good number of irresponsible elements.
Foreign destinations are quite a craze among folks with domestic destinations are also adding up. Few ardent tourists are always in search of new venues and seeking regular solace in natural environments.
Authorities are also waking up and realizing this potential while private players have become more responsive to domestic tourists.
Overall things are maturing, positive but crowding due to lack or insufficient infrastructure.

in certainty from what I even have seen is the lack of advertising. I keep in mind years in the past interior the Marcos era The Philippines advance into on Australian television a minimum of a dozen situations each week and pal had an airfare approximately $2 hundred greater low-priced than QANTAS and lodge rooms have been in part subsidised.

Our society is an ever changing one. And currently we are in the so called "IKEA ERA" where everyone is becoming more 'out of the box'. Therefore you will see many people going 2 ways, to either a more primitive society than theirs, or a supercity.
