Just ignore it. Your birthday is a celebration of what? Nothing you did, so if someone chooses not to give you something you cannot say anything about it. We can't all start expecting gifts at certain periods of our life. When you get older you will experience this more and more often.

Why were you expecting to get a present from this person? The secret is not to expect anything from anybody and then there's a less likely chance that you'll be disappointed.

you have four options:
1) ask them, so wheres my present then?
2) smile and be grateful for what you got from those who do care about you.
3) sulk, cry, tandrum... make a big scene
4) dont bother buying anything for their birthday... how do they like that now? eh eh!

make a scene joke dont do that cus u cud look like a spoilt bratt just chill and never get them one unless they had a reason for not buying u 1 e.g. no money

some people do not know how to buy presents or they think its not necessary but once they said happy birthday i think its cool.

Depends on the person. Your parents (get over it) if its your boyfriend( beat the hell out of him), your best friend (when their b-day comes don't buy a gift) simple as that.
