I work for a landscaping curbing company. We do decorative concrete curbing in yards to keep the mulch and rock in the beds around the houses. I would like to find out about what type of footware is allowed and not allowed.

Call OSHA. Tell them the company you're working for and supply them all the details of address, phone, etc.

Then tell them your boss will only hand out flip flops.

You'll find out really quick what you should be wearing.

OR you could just ask your employer!!!

Footware is determined by the employer based on OSHA exposure assessments. Most employers are going to be conservative and make you were good shoes. Since wet concrete can be bad for your skin, you probably need boots or at least good covering.
