i have a lan with win2003 as the domain controller....and 2 win xp proffesional as clients....i created users in the active directory....i can use only one xp machine to access the lan,ie the domain users can log into the domain from this machine without probs....its the second win xp client thats creating problems for me....only the domain admin can log into the domain from that machine ...other users cannot.....any help....

as u know only that users that has defiend in active directory can log in to domain
chek the user name in active directory
be sure the user name asign to that cmputer name
reset the user password
and be sure that the user is not disable in active directory

Your account is residing on the area, until eventually the area admin makes you an section account with rights, then you definately wont be able to log into the workstation without the area being modern-day. Ask your admin or laptop help in case your account is lively as an section person as well. often i despatched purchasers as a way to go on line locally and by the area. it somewhat works vice versa..

one suggestion is to check that ur pc is on domain.....follow steps
logon to ur pc with PC's admin authority then

right click MY COMPUTER >> PROPERTIES >> COMPUTER NAME >> choose the domain radio button and mention ur domain name there and restart ur pc
