As a rule, airplanes are faster than helicopters. In general aviation with small planes, they are usually comparable on speed. When you get to any commercial aircraft, the planes are much faster. This is due to the limits of speed that occur from the main rotor on the helicopter. With one blade advancing (moving forward) through the air and one retreating, the lift imbalance becomes too much for the control system to overcome at high speeds. If the helicopter goes too fast, it would become uncontrollable, roll over and crash.

An airplane can do more top end speed but a helicopter can take off and land faster and fly at lower altitudes so although a plane is faster in speed a helicopter can still get places faster...if you know what I mean

It depends on type of airplane, some planes fly slower than some helicopters, but generally an airplane flys much faster.

An aeroplane is faster than helicopter. But helicopter is flexible in that it can land and take off and hover over any place

Plane travels max at Mach 3 or more. Helicopters fly max at 400 km/h.

IM NOT AN EXPERT ON THIS SUBJECT, ALTHOUGH I THINK A HELICOPTER IS SMALLER AND MUCH LIGHTER, SO MY GUESS WOULD DEFINATELY BE A HELICOPTER.
