Roberto Ayala and Juan Pablo Sorin of Argentina are an excellent duo. Ayala never fails in the back (though the unexperienced guys coming in for Burdisso might) and Juampi is the defender that runs all the way up the sideline and helps out the midfielders when needed. His absence was one of the most acutely felt in the Argentina-Holland game.
