I don't know about Taylor Caldwell's portrayal of it but i think if you don't think we are socially manipulated by those in power your deluded. With every position of power it goes hand in hand with abuse and manipulation of power. We are just human and that's were the problem lies.

I have to agree with Mom, it is happening. Even on subtle scales, it happens and most people are unaware of it all.
