The first two answerers show absolutely NO UNDERSTANDING of the power of nuclear weapons. And to state that 'there have been nuclear wars before' shows shocking ignorance of history.
Just a few facts (for those uninformed): (1) In all of human history there were a total of TWO -2- atomic bombs detonated in war against an enemy; (2) Those bombs EACH killed over 100,000 people; (3) Today's nuclear weapons are A MINIMUM twenty -20- times as powerful as those used in 1945 against Japan; (4) There are enough high-powered weapons in the world's arsenals to destroy the entire world; and (5) The Iranians so hate the West that they are WILLING to destroy THEMSELVES AND THE WEST, if that's what it takes. Suicide bombers of today have killed ONLY thousands of non-combatants; to the fanatic mind, MILLIONS is more to their liking.
