OUCH! sounds like you need to go to the doctor. In the mean time, put something hot on it...like a hot-water bottle & take pain relief. Feel better soon :)
Really important you see a doctor because ear's are precious & if you have an infection & it goes untreated your eardrum could burst & that would be bad.

To soothe your "Achy ear ache" as you say, you could do one of two things. 1.) a nice hot compress over the affected ear and hope that it works.

Or, 2.) You could take some aspirin and call a doc. It's best for them to determine whether the ache is due to impaction or injury.

First you should see a doctor, to find out what is causing the problem. You may need antibiotics.

I went to my local drug store and spoke to the Pharmacist, they sell a few items for ear aches. There is one for swimmers ear, if you may have gotton water into it.
They also sell another product with a solution that you put into your ear and then it comes with a little pump you gently pump water in to flush the ear wax out. Follow the directions carefully.

There is also a candle you can buy specifically for ear wax, but I have never tried that one.

Any way hope it feels better soon.

You can first clear the blockage with an over the counter ear wash. This may also relieve the pressure on the inner ear and alleviate the ear ache. It will not hurt to try. Or you may have to take the more painful route and irrigate the ear.

Use a hair dryer. Hold it apx 16 to 18 inches from the ear & on low. The warm air helps loosen wax and reduces inflammation that can cause the pain.

When I was a kid and got an earache, my mom would pour a little hydrogen peroxide in my ear, leave it sit for a couple of minutes, then gently swab out my ear with a Q-tip. Followed up with a heating pad wrapped in a towel, sore ear down to drain, always worked on me.

try to light a smoke and put the butt in your ear for a minute... the heat should open your ear right up...

see a doctor. You probably have an infection. Feel your lymph nodes and see if they're swollen.
