I think from my experience it is a difference similar to the northern hemisphere v south on is it 1 for 6 or 6 for 1. score.
It was always One wicket for 6 runs in australia. and 8 ball overs.
Then Lords imposed their view on rest of international cricket and changed to 6 ball overs and 6 runs for 1 wicket.
What is right ???? does it matter... Fast medium or Medium Fast.. I think it is in the correct English Prose. I am Aussie so as far as correct English i am ignorant .... seak correct enunciation from Lords.

fast = arround 140 and more km/hr
fast medium = between 130-140km/hr
medium fast = between 120-130km/hr
medium = arround 120 km/hr
fast medium = more on faster & less on medium side
medium fast = more on medium & less on faster side
