This depends upon the situation.

To the young teen with her first few bouts with the condition, it stands for Puffy Mid Section, Pimples May Surface or Pass Me Sweets.

To the guy just starting to date or to the Newlywed, it stands for Psychotic Mood Shift.

To the sensitive young woman, it stands for Pardon My Sobbing.

To the hubby that notices that his wife has stopped reading Cosmo and is now reading his Guns & Ammo, it stands for Pass My Shotgun.

To the older wife who has never gotten any sympathy from her husband, it stands for Pack My Stuff or Pack My Suitcase.

To some women at the office it stands for Personally Mad Situation or Perhaps Men Suck

Oh sweet! Have you been punished lately?

PMS is actually the short for what your mind-set should be during that very short time!!

1. Pamper My Sweetheart!
2. Put Me Second

(So, when we say she has PMS it means she has a "Pamper My Sweetheart" Husband/Boyfriend or a "Put Me Second" Husband/Boyfriend!)

pre-menstrual stress / pre-menstrual syndrome.

since one of the best relievers of pre-menstrual stress is cuddling (and all the things that cuddling tends to lead to) it would be inordinately silly to use the syndrome as an excuse for attacking the only person who can help you over it.

yep... there is premenstrual syndrome.. menstrual cycle..and post menstrual syndrome... so basically you only have 1 week a month to not be punished ... when did it become a syndrome anyhow? it used to be a "period"
