God is who ever you need him to be. God is all things to all men.

The Bible says that there are many gods. Your god is whatever or whoever is in charge of your life. Money can be your god, so can work, so can something as little as a TV if it is the most important thing to you. But the true God is the only god that can fill the emptiness inside us. The Bible says He is Love. The purest form of love.

It also says that if you knock at His door, He will answer. So just start knocking.

If you are looking for God, ask Him to show Himself to you. He will. Don't expect something big, like an angel to appear. It will most likely be subtle, something just for you. But just give Him a chance and wait for confirmation of his existence. He did it for me, and if He will do it for me he'll do it for anyone. Once He does, He can be your best friend, your comfort, your peace, your joy, your hope, your constant companion. I can go on and on, but it boils down to this. You will spend your lifetime getting to know Him and learning how complex and incredible He is.

Your life will never be the same.

God denotes the deity believed by monotheists to be the sole creator and ruler of the universe. Conceptions of God can vary widely, despite the use of the same term for them all.

The God of monotheism, pantheism or panentheism, or the supreme deity of henotheistic religions, may be conceived of in various degrees of abstraction: as a powerful, human-like, supernatural being, or as the deification of an esoteric, mystical or philosophical category, the Ultimate, the summum bonum, the Absolute Infinite, the Transcendent, or Existence or Being itself, the ground of being, the monistic substrate, that which we cannot understand, etc. The more abstract of these positions regard any anthropomorphic mythology and iconography associated with God either sympathetically as mere symbolism, or unfavourably as blasphemous.

Theologians and philosophers have studied countless conceptions of God since the dawn of civilization. The question of the existence of God classically falls under the branch of philosophy known as metaphysics, but is also one of the key discussions taking place within the field of the philosophy of religion.

God is He who really is. The uncreated one. All forms, including our bodies were created by Him. All forms have a beginning and an end. Only God is eternal. God is Love. He created all things because of love. He sustains all things because of Love, and redeems all things by love and because of Love.
Because we don't know how to love and are afraid to love; He wrote us a book of love, with words of love and rules of love, to teach us how to love. He tells us not to be afraid, that if we follow his rules of love, that He will watch over us and take care of us.
We don't read His Book Of love we don't follow His rules of love.
We are afraid, we are mean to each other, rob each other, kill each other. He tells us to wait until marriage to have sex with each other and that after we are married to stay married. We don't do that. We might miss out on some fun. We might have to go through the pain of taking a hard look at ourselves, working out issues with our spouse, and following His Rules of Love from His book of Love.
So what do we have, pain and misery. We have children with no fathers, mothers with no husbands, children with no discipline and that don't know how to love. We have poverty and loneliness.
And then what do we say? We say God doesn't exist or He must be bad because of all the misery and pain in the world!
