three months ago a girl i knew and admired at school got in touch with me through the friendsreunited website.

we talked over some of the crazy things we had done at school together, and a few of the crazy things we've done since.

then she started making improper suggestions to me.

i was surprised - and even a little flattered - but i am very happy in my present relationship and told her 'maybe another time.'

she started circulating enhanced versions of the stories i had told her to all of her friends and as many of my own friends as she could find emails for.

one of her friends she passed personal information about me on to has serious and long-term mental health issues (including some history of making false criminal charges against people she doesn't like).

it would be very easy to let this person sour me against making any friends ever again (on-line or off-).

but then she would have won, wouldn't she?

It's silly little things really, like I right now I'm round my parents house, and they expect me to unload the dishwasher and peg out some washing and tidy up and all that, but I don't live here. So should I do it? I know that if I don't then I'm letting them down, but it feels like they save up all the chores for when I visit!
(they aren't like housebound or disabled or anything, I'm not being truely evil - they are both in their mid forties and perfectly able to do it themselves!)

I quite often feel I have let myself down.

More recently my family has been letting me down over and over - they keep rowing (mother and brother) and it puts me in the middle - every time I think it is going to get better one goes of on one at the other and we are back to square one - I just wish they would sort it out - I'm exhausted!

Thanks for the opportunity to have a rant - good question I reckon, it gets people thinking.

It was the end of last year, a person I worked with and trusted proved to me she could no longer could be trusted and unfortunately she is no longer someone I will count as a friend, she doesn't deserve my friendship.

For me it was a year ago and it was the other way around. I trust someone did my best to help the person and they just fell apart

My former best friend/roommate let me down by not being responsible and keeping up with her half of the bills. Now we don't talk anymore.

just this week. she was my best friend. by a single misteke, our friendship can be ruined. she started to befriends with the new girl in school who isn't close to me. in fact, i don't like her. now i told her what i don't like about that new girl... then they started to talk and all that and foud out that my friend told that new girl all the things i've said...

she's changed a LOT anyway. she's not the girl i used to know. I show my dissapointment about her attitude and like trying to change her, but she just became a bad influence. she's not going home for 3 days then.. i dunno. i don't think i'm the one wrong.
