IQ is something that measures our "intelligence" (it stands for "intelligence quotient") and a lot of it is down to your innate ability to process and retain information, work out complex problems etc. However, there are things you can do to stimulate your mind which may in turn help to improve your IQ score.
Read! Yes, this is first because in order to improve your IQ you must read. But before you reach out for that worn-out paperback (a story you've read a million times) read a new book, a different book...a book from a completely different genre than what you're used to. You usually read mystery? Good, now go ahead and read some comedy. Only fiction? Go grab a biography. Read everything and anything (this includes articles, etc...).
Try writing with your opposite hand. Some people claim that if you write with your opposite hand then your IQ goes up, because your brain is not used to writing with that other hand and is forced to work harder. However, if you're ambidextrous, that's great.. try writing with both hands at once, and try writing different things with different hands at once.
Write out long letters. Thinking about emailing your aunt that thank you letter? Forget it, write it out by hand.
Play video games. However, don't play that game you're always playing. Try a new game, something you've never played before. It will stimulate your mind and help you to think differently.
Work on cryptology. This is when a message is written in codes and you try to figure it out...it's hard, but after a while it's fun.
Crosswords and Sudoku..basically anything that stimulates the mind and that completely frustrates you because you just can't get it.

IQ is an arbitrary number meant to measure your raw ability to reason. In theory it only goes down through life rather than improves. It's possible that if you took an IQ test while sleep deprived, distracted or otherwise not at your best that you can get a better score. It's also possible that you took one of the new IQ tests which are much less arbitrary and much more linked to actual knowledge stores or even redesigned to allow certain groups to do better on them. Those are pretty much worthless anyway.
What you can do however is sharpen your mind. Logic and application of math/science are excellent ways to do this. Music both playing and listening to complex music has a surprisingly large role in this. In other words dump the pop CD and listen to some classical or maybe some art Rock or progressive Metal or Advanced Jazz. Something that is not lyrical in nature, that requires you to use your mind to fully appreciate.
Making music itself is an excellent mental stimulis. So too are puzzles, writing, research and mental gymastics.
Getting a good night's sleep is very important to brain functioning. So too is getting enough protien and certain vites. Complex E (fish oil, luckily it comes in pill form) for example has been strongly linked to brain functioning. Add a little more meat to your diet if you are mostly or all vegitarian or add substantial amounts of high protien foods.
Stress is another major factor in applied intelligence. The higher the stress level the more adverse an effect on memory and intelligence. Find destressing activities. Music for example is both a vent for stress and a good mental stimulation. Especially if you are playing an instrament. Perhaps it's writing, pottery, or painting. Doesn't matter if you are good at it. Doesn't matter if ANYBODY but you ever see's your creations. What matters is does it relieve stress? Does it stimulate your mind? Yoga is another good stress relief activity for many people. Never found it appealing myself but others swear by it.

Read. Read books. Read a lot. Reading exposes your mind to ideas and to vocabulary and forces you to process the material actively, rather than passively the way the brain responds to television. I've also heard that listening to classical music does good things for your brain. Mozart is supposed to be the best. People used to say that fish was brain food. Now that information about the omega oils has become available people are still saying fish (and fish oils) is brain food only they're saying it more scientifically.

IQ is just ability to learn. it doesn't mean much unless you're borderline retarded. Take a different test and you'll get a different number

Dye your hair so no one can see you're blonde. Seriously, have you tried Ginko Biloba? It seems to help me think a little more clearly and my memory has definitely improved. Takes about a week before any results.
