Crickets popular in England yes, it just lags quite a long way behind football which is a National obsession and by miles the countries favourite sport. The popularity of Cricket soared last summer when we finally beat the Aussies to win back the Ashes!

ofcourse it is popular infact they are the pioneers of cricket. the only thing is now since its the football season and since england is playing well too where as in cricket it has already lost the ODI series against Srilanka so may the attention is towards football
