Some problem in the border...

Historically, in the 1960s China and India went to war over Chinese surveying of the undemarcated border area between Tibet, Bhutan and Eastern Bengal. The main isssue was who could claim sovereignty over the rich fertile valley surrounding the Brahmaputra River. The war was declared essentially as a draw because neither of the countries felt it was worth it to fight over the hill tribes of the Brahmaputra Valley, and essentially the issue is still unresolved as of today.
On the western borders, China and India also have disputes over the borders of Xinjiang with Tibet and Kashmir and the indian province of uttaranchal pradesh. Furthermore, the Indians are reticent of the Pakistani government for recognising the claim called Aksai Chin of the Chinese government.
Also the Indians, while decreasing in anti-Pakistan feelings, have historically been anti-Pakistan. They feel it was an artificial division for no reason. Pakistanis view otherwise especially when they look at the forced singing of the vande mataram in schools in the 1940s in states where the Indian National Congress was able to win power.
Since Pakistan and Communist China have always been extremely great friends though not always military allies, this anti-Pakistan feelings of Indians could lead to anti-Sinicism in Indians.
Looking forward, though, with the collapsing of the old world order which is underway right now, the EU and China and India will have to step into the role of the world's next superpower, and while the EU and India do not necessarilly consider this theory as legitimate, China does, and therefore wants to make sure its position as a superpower is not hampered in any way by the Indians. Also, it hopes that its traditional and 45-50-year long friendship with Pakistan will not lead to a tripartite nuclear war if India decides to attack Pakistan.
