Aicha is a name, of Arabic origin, probably an ex-girlfriend of the artist.
They probably chose to cover it because of their Arabic origin and because the song became a symbol for the Arabic woman and her values and beauty.
Never said it was french, but the lyrics are in french :)

as it is clear from video they are trying to portray a Muslim girl and her life.so its not AICHA its AESHA.its a Arabic word.its name for girls.
