Ive been involved with someone that had kids and believe me, it wasnt so great.... it wasnt the kids but the fact that when you want to be alone with your loved one its almost impossible.. and youre always gonna be involved with the baby's mama or daddy so that sucks... so i'd say TO ANYONE lookin to hook up with someone with kids, THINK TWICE.. before getting involved in so much drama...

I have two kids and then I got married and after he found his kids the two boys came to live with us. What a nightmare! He had been seperated from his kids for 5 years and had been with mine 3 yrs or so. He treated his boys better, let them do what they wanted. They were like 12 and smoking cigs. getting high whatever else. They didnt like me at all and were very disrespectful. Finally one moved in with his grandparents and last year the other one graduated. Then I left and he is now all alone living with his mom and two brothers, they are all around 40 yrs. old!

Same. But I have kids, so it would just further complicate things. If I was divorced with kids, I'm not sure what I'd do. Prolly just try to focus on them and get real good at self gratification. I know from experience that its hard on kids when their parents are divorced and date, so I'm not sure I'd want to put my kids in that position.

I agree with you Eve. It is definitley a bad idea. No alone time, you have to deal with the Ex all the time. No social life cause the kid always needs taken care of. Better to be with someone single.

More arguments are caused by step kids than all other problems combined. I could name a hundred couples that love their mate, but despise their step kids. Do not even go there, if they have kids from a former realtionship! No way I would even consider it!!

I agree. My first wife had a child already, and she flat-out told me that her child would always be first to her, with me second.
My second wife had 4 dogs, 6 cats, and they came first. Plus, she had a teenage boy in Texas that she didn't tell me about until after a year into our marriage.
Maybe ,,,tho, if they were great kids and I bonded with them and had equal say in bringing them up, I might..

I would have to think about it , depends if the kids are brought up right, some today don't give a damn about anything.

I would find it really hard but if he was the right man for me then I would try to make it work. I have no experience with kids and would find it really hard if they were naughty!

I am in a similar situation but we both have a child. You have to really like their child or it throws alot of uneasiness in to the loop.
