need to be controlling and be in control of all situations? Why they can't rely on anyone else to do something for them?

cziizi is soooooooo right. I don't trust someone to help me because people either let me down or help me the way they see right, not the way I see right...and they do it with good intentions, they can't be blamed at all.

Being controlling is different to being independant.
I do not have to rely on anybody for anything because I am independant, that doesn't make me controlling. I'm stubborn yes, but that is because I do not doubt my own mind, I am confident enough to trust myself. I can't say it's always been like that but independance isn't controlling.
Controlling somebody is when they "stop" you being a free spirit, them doubting your word or capabilities. Selfish to not consider the others thoughts so they control them.

A BIG difference!!

they might feel that no one else can do it right. my father was, is, and will always be like that. if youre not doing it his way youre not doing it right.

theres nothin you can really do. i say avoid them at all costs. ESPECIALLY when it comes to relationships. he/she shows even asign of being controlling....ditch them. or else ill see you on Maury.

Maybe they think that others may not pay full attention as much as themselves would to the issue!

It is because they view everything they do as VVVVVV important. So they dont want to or simply cant trust others. Its basic lack of trust for others.

they can't cope with the feelings insecurity that they would experience if they would let someone else in charge

THEY RELIE ON THEM SELVES BECAUSE THEY THINK THEY R DOING SOMETHING WRONG OR CAUSED SOMETHING TO HAPPEN OR THEY DID
