Do not risk losing a great deal of money by not spending a little.
Hire a lawyer to to increase the chances of bringing your
idea to a corp. as big as Apple.
Be prepared that they may not agree to sighing a "Non
Disclosure Agreement" because they may have already worked
along those lines and would tie their own hands with work
they have already invested time and money in.
Advise from a lawyer in this field in your best bet.

Agree totally with JimR, above. Get a lawyer and approach them. But do not tell the lawyer your idea in complete!!!!!! Unless you got a patent pending or have sent it for publishing etc. Lawyers are dishonest beasts!
