I know this sounds a bit daft, but sometimes if you use the cleanser that you use on your face to take your makeup off. I've done this and its gentle and yet it seems to disolve the oil. (obviously, I wouldn't try this if your cleanser it bright purple!!)

WhoOps, not sure what talking powder is, hee hee..... but yes, as long as it is a fresh spill then talcome powder will blot it out.
