as 2*2=2+2=4(2*2 means either multiply 2 with 2 or add 2 two times.
similarly 4*4= add 4 four times
= 4+4+4+4
=16
So its fair enough.

just like 4*4 means add 4 to itelf 4 times. (4+4+4+4=16)

Well you got it wrong.2*2means you 2 times 2.4*4 means you have to add 4 times 4 i.e.,4+4+4+4.You will get 16.

That's true, 2*2 = 4, so the number "2" gets added two times.

It's only logical then, that 4*4 = 16, where the number "4" gets added four times. 4+4+4+4 = 16
