What is "good" and what is "bad?"
And who decides?

Personally, I would say there is definitely a huge distinction between good and bad people, although most people just fall in between. I would say that good people do things with the intention of helping others, and do things which they truly believe are actually good things. They may not seem so to others, but its the intention, not the action which determins whether somebody is good or bad. A bad person, on the other hand, does something knowing that its bad, and not actually caring at all. Although good people may have to do bad things sometimes, a good person will always regret being put in that position.

Most people are basically good, but it's estimated that about 10% of the population is sociopathic -- which means 1 in 10 people have no sense of right and wrong and no conscience. Are they 'bad?' I think it's pretty fair to say that people without conscience do bad things a lot more easily than the rest of us. But what's especially creepy is that sociopaths usually don't have 'blood lust' and therefore can pass as 'normal.' They are usually low key about causing others harm....and use manipulation and psychological game playing, just because they can.

Know any sociopaths? We all probably do....

Most would say that there are good people and bad people, and would say that "evil" people are bad. But those who are "evil" are living what they are honestly - however horrific they may be. To me the difference between good people and bad people is much more subtle: Both may seem good, but a truly good person doesn't knowingly watch something or someone hurt or violated without doing something about it. Seemingly good people who have the capacity to do good, but choose not to by closing their eyes are the true evil people, because they have choice, and live a lie by the choices they make, regardless of their seeming appearance of "being good". "Good people" who CAN do good, but choose not to, are the true evil people. (Most would make the differentiation by considering if one has a conscience, but I don't. Conscience can be conveniently put aside. I think the true defining factor which differentiates good from bad people is that good people have ethics, and act on them - have a positive impact on the world around them by doing so, whether it's immediately apparent or valued or not.

No, good and bad are subjective. Their is no right or wrong, good or bad. People just sort actions into the 2 groups, and everyone has their own lists.
Or:
All people are good because they will do what they fell is right when they decide what to do. If I killed the man my wife was cheating on me with, at the time I would think he deserved it. So I acted rightly in my own mind.
Or:
All people are bad becase someone out their will not like what they have done.

What people call 'good' and what people call 'evil' are subjective. Some people who you may think are evil may think themselves to be working for the greater good, and vice versa. The defiinition of these terms is a personal debate, formed by your environment, your culture, your upbringing and your mental health.

So the answer to the question would be, there is no good and no evil, only perceptions. All people are subject to perceptions of acceptable and unacceptable behavior, therefore we are all a little bit of both.

There is a distinct for sure , it's a relative issue ... if there is no bad , we wouldn't call the other side bad ...
I believe humans are the ones who choose to be bad or good ... sometimes the environment and situations affect that decision ... but the final call is for the human him/her self ...

A bad person willingly commits acts that are harmful or deceitful to others with no conscience and without need. A person with a conscience regrets his/her negative actions and does them out of need when times are toughest, usually seeking to undo the act at a later time.

I cannot believe these endless almost infantile questions that
are so obvious in their answer. C'mon, if you really have to ASK,
you're either deaf, dumb, and blind or 2) you're just kidding around, or 3) You've been iving in a cave or 4) You just fell off a
Christmas tree (lights on, nobody home, etc.)

Also, you might try READING, it's painless & harmless you
know, so go read up on Hitler, Stalin, Ghandi, Mother Teresa,
maybe that'll help you figure out who's who.

personally, i think that everyone has some good and bad in them no matter how good you think a person is he also has some bad qualities that is why there is a saying that "nobody is perfect"... what makes the difference is how much good or how much bad there is in a person...sounds logical?
