The appendix is the most common part of the digestive system that can be removed. People in some cases have had parts of their large and small intestines removed as well. Some people can also live without a stomach due to certain kinds of cancers. The esophagus is rerouted to the small intestine and they must adjust their diet accordingly.

I won't do your homework for you. Think about this yourself. What operation is performed thousands of times a year that removes a part of the DT and never affects anything else?

a length of the small intestine (gastric bypass surgery)
the gallbladder and/or spleen , you'd be forever restricted to a diet though
appendix, if you had appendicitis
parts of the liver (the body can regenerate this body part)
