Interestingly, if best keepers are based on the number of saves they made .. this is according to FIFA website:

1. Richard Kingson (Ghana) - 22 saves
2. Ricardo Joao (Angola) - 21 saves
3. Yoshikatsu Kawaguchi (Japan) - 21 saves
4. Edwin van der Sar (Holland) - 18 saves

That's the stats as of today ... so even though they got knocked out a few days ago, they're still up there in terms of the number of saves they made. Imagine if they're still in the game....

World Cup 2002 was Oliver Kahn, no doubt about it.

Petr Cech of the Czech Republic 'was' the best for me, until they exited the world cup. of the remaining teams, Buffon of Italy and Dida of Brazil are very good i'd say. The ukranian goalie saved the day for them in the penalty shootouts, he did well. Jens Lehmann was rated very highly before the world cup, with some great saves for Arsenal, though he's made a few errors in this cup. Buffon , Dida and Lehmann, take your pick.

Gianluigi Buffon
He's a best player, an excellent goal keeper of Azzurri. He makes Italy become a strong team. And he will let Azzurri become a winner after have a cleen sheet match with Brazil at the final.
FORZA AZZURRA
