My cat Jasper, was the most wonderful pet that I have ever had. He died 11 years ago at age 16 years. He gave himself to me in Hawaii on my 17th birthday. He traveled with me to California, North Carolina, Georgia, Texas and Oklahoma. He was like my first child.

We were in the military. Alot of people left their animals when they moved. I wouldn't even consider it. He was so spoiled. I will never forget him. He was the best thing that ever happened to me and helped me make it through all those years when my husband was gone in the field. I love all animals, but Jasper is one that will always be the most special in my heart. He's unforgettable.

I have a silver grey and white cat called Daisy and when I look into her eyes, I can tell that there is more to her than just a cats IQ. She is my darling. However, I am sure that I have owned her before! How, what, why????

Well several years ago, I had a silver grey tabby called Ben and Daisy is Ben re-incarnated. They look the same, have the same temperament, do the same naughty things and everything! It is quite uncanny!

A few years ago, I had another little girl cat called Lucy. She was just a black and white moggy whom I rescued after her owners moved house and left her behind. She was the most adorable little sweetheart and when she was killed in a motor accident, I really thought my heart was breaking. I happened around 5 1/2 years ago and my eyes still fill with tears when I think of her.

To say one is favourite over the rest is not fair really because all of my cats, past and present, have been so special in their own ways. The full list reads - Ben, Jake, Sam I, Sam II, Tom, Lucy, Holly, Poppy, Toby, Leo & Neo (twin brothers), Gypsy, Spikey, Rosy & Daisy!! Not forgetting the six little fluffies bundles of mischief who are ready to go to their new homes right about now! My hubby says he wants to keep the littlest one (she is all grey & fluffy!) and I want to keep the only little boy of the litter, a gorgeous tabby with huge blue eyes! The fur on his tummy is the same colour as the inside of Maltesers - so I might call him Malty or Teaser!!

OMG - sorry I just get so carried away when I talk about my furry, four-legged friends. LOL!!

My most beloved pet was a Shih Tzu, named gizmo. I called him gizzy or gizzypoo. I had him for over 12 years. He was a sociable dog, been in every Harley Dealership from California to the Great Lakes. He had been to Sturgis for 4 years. He rode more miles on a Harley than most men.

Each and every one of them..for different reasons.
They've all had their own personalites..or is it that they individually selected traits of my own to emulate or mirror?

My cat Leeco, who followed me 1/2 a mile to the letterbox, then raced me back home. He would also tease me to play with him when I was having a bad day.

My dog Buck, who wouldn't or couldn't hurt a flea, but scared the b-jingoes out of any man that arrived on my rural doorstep.

My cat Barlow, the coolest guy ever. A wild cat rescued from the forest..he would bring other cats home for a meal. He occasionally reverted back to his wildness, & terrorised dogs but it was always comical. Yeah..he was definitely my most beloved pet!

Ben & Bella..the twin boxers..Bella & I were too much alike, both feisty so we quarrelled frequently, but loved each other to bits. Ben on the other hand was the complete opposite..unless someone was threatening me & I wasn't being my usual tough self. Ben was my hero!

Chevy..a seriously psychologically-challenged little cat. She became a princess though when we both discovered classical music & wheat packs whilst I was at university.

My array of temporarily adopted or rescued animals over the last 2 years as I've travelled through Russia & Mexico..much to the distress of my landlords.

She watches T.V. with me, goes to restruants with me (without them knowing cuz i have a pet bag lol), goes everywhere with me, I just love her so much and when I think about her ever dying my eyes water, I wish she could live forever or atleast until I died (of old age).

My dog Blackie, I was seven when I had him. He was a black lab and we lived in rural areas and we acres and acres of land and we were going out to eat. My mom had a bad feeling so we went back and checked on him. Everyone was saying "Is that your dog who got hit?" And we were nervouse and when we made it home, our dog was tied in a bag. Apperently my step-dad had ofrgot to put him in his outside-kennel. I went hyterical and I hit my brother pathetically (he was towering over me and it didnt hurt him) and ran inside crying. We found out where he was hit and according to the tracks, it was on our land. He was a hunting dog and he was hunting a quail (well it looked like it from the tracks) and it was a safe distance from the road, and it was on a clearing. But someone drove their car onto our land and hit him on porpouse. We never found out who it was. We built him a grave and visited it often but that was in Pennsylvania, now Im in Texas. We had to move. He was my favorite out of so many pets because he cared so much. He came to our door as a pup and scratched at our door. Then when we opened it he ran inside like he already knew where everything was. His collar was way to small and had grown into his skin. (We took him to a vet immediately) We had asked about missing dogs and everything but no one claimed him. He grew to be a very happy dog and everything... I miss him alot!

Paine.... My cat. I had her from the day she was born. But when I got pregnant with my son she started tearing up all of the baby things. She also hated my husband and would try to attack him if he came near me. She was more like a watch/attack cat, than the lazy cats that lay around all day. She was 3 when I gave her away. I was afraid she would hurt my son.
